Social Media Internship Job Description

Reports to: Finance Manager / Member Service Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, products, and all other aspects of service
• Assist in educating and informing our audience about products and services
• Generate, edit, publish, and share content on a regular basis via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn under the direction of our social media supervisor
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, financial tips, and videos on social media
• Engage with followers and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Attend community events and volunteer opportunities, take photos for social media
• Stay up to date with technology and trends, design tools, and applications
• Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes
• Analyze analytics and assist in creating reports to gauge the success of campaigns
• Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Assist with photo/video content shoots

• Pursuing degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism preferred
• Solid understanding of social media platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Great organizational skills
• Experience with content management systems and image/video editing software (i.e, CANVA)

• Flexible schedule
• Paid training

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends and evenings as needed
